Your registration

Registered

Registered or licensed with your chosen regulator, ready to apply for roles.

Looking for the roles themselves?

Registration is one half of the move; the job is the other. Our overseas jobs page lists the openings we are currently aware of, and you can start the registration side in parallel.

Exam coaching for nurses

Most of the Gulf routes end in a licensing exam. If that is the part you are worried about, we run coaching for each one — open the page for the authority you are applying to.

Frequently asked questions

Which country is best for nursing jobs abroad?

There is no single best country — it comes down to your qualification, how much post-qualification experience you have, which exam you are willing to sit, and whether you want a fast start or a long-term residency path. The UK is the most structured route but has two exams in front of it; Ireland can be quicker for some backgrounds; Australia depends heavily on where you trained; the Gulf is usually the fastest to a licence; Germany is a genuine option but the language comes first. We talk all of this through in a free session rather than pushing one country.

Do I have to re-qualify as a nurse to work abroad?

In most cases no. Every route on this page is a recognition or assessment process for the nursing qualification you already hold, not a fresh degree. What changes country to country is how much evidence the regulator wants and what they add on top — a knowledge test, a practical exam, an adaptation period, or a language certificate.

What is the difference between the CBT and the OSCE for UK nursing?

They are the two halves of the NMC Test of Competence. The CBT is a computer-based test of your nursing or midwifery knowledge, taken at a test centre. The OSCE is a practical, in-person clinical exam taken in the UK, where you are assessed on how you actually handle clinical scenarios. You normally pass the CBT first, and you have a limited window afterwards to sit the OSCE — which is why we plan the two together rather than one at a time.

How much nursing experience do I need before applying?

It depends on the regulator, and it is one of the first things worth checking. Several Gulf authorities set a minimum number of years of post-qualification clinical experience before they will license you at a given title or grade, and some also care about which clinical area that experience is in. Rather than guess, we look at your CV against your target country during your eligibility check and tell you honestly whether you are ready now or should wait.

Is there an English test for nursing jobs in the Gulf?

For most Gulf routes there is no separate English test in the way the UK, Ireland and Australia require one — the licensing exam itself is in English, and the employer sets its own expectations. What is always required is DataFlow primary source verification of your documents. We confirm what applies to nursing in your specific target country before you pay for anything.

Do I need a job offer before I start the registration process?

It depends which way you are going. For the UK, Ireland and Australia, registration normally comes first and employers expect you to be registered or well into the process. In the Gulf the licence and the employer are more closely linked, so an offer often comes earlier in the sequence. Either way you can start the registration side now, and you can see the roles we are currently aware of on our overseas jobs page.

Not sure which country fits your nursing qualification?

Book a free session and we will map your qualification and experience against each route, then tell you honestly which ones are realistic.
