PLA is CAMRT’s paper-based review of your education and clinical experience against Canadian standards for medical radiation technologists. It’s the first real step for internationally educated applicants, and its outcome determines what — if anything — you need to complete before the certification exam.

In most provinces you also need to register with the provincial regulator (for example CMRITO in Ontario) — CAMRT certification alone doesn’t let you practise everywhere in Canada. Requirements vary by province, so we help you confirm what applies to the province you’re targeting.

Typically your passport, degree certificate, academic transcripts, a clinical logbook or experience letters, your home-country licence, and an English test result. We guide you through getting each into the format CAMRT expects.

Most recognised Indian radiography qualifications are eligible to apply for assessment — the PLA process is what determines whether your specific qualification and experience are considered equivalent. We help you understand where you’re likely to stand before you apply.
