What’s the difference between AHPRA and a skills assessment body like ANMAC or APC?▾
AHPRA is the national board that actually registers you to practise in Australia. For most professions, you first need a positive skills assessment from your profession’s assessing authority (for example ANMAC for nursing, or APC/APEP for physiotherapy) — AHPRA registration comes after that.
How much does AHPRA registration cost for Indian nurses or physiotherapists?▾
There are several separate fees along the way — the skills assessment fee, your English test, and AHPRA’s own registration fee — paid directly to those bodies. We confirm current figures for your specific pathway when we start your case.
What IELTS or OET score does AHPRA require?▾
Commonly IELTS Academic 7.0 overall with no band below 6.5, or OET Grade B in all four sub-tests, valid within the period AHPRA specifies. We confirm the exact current requirement for your profession.
Is a bridging course or OSCE required for Indian-trained nurses?▾
