What if my training had little dysphagia practice?▾
It is a known gap in some overseas curricula and does not automatically end an application. It can, however, prompt questions or a Test of Competence. Documenting any dysphagia exposure you do have, and any post-qualification training in it, is worth the effort.
Is RCI registration relevant to HCPC?▾
Your Rehabilitation Council of India registration is not something HCPC requires, but a current registration and good-standing certificate is useful supporting evidence of your professional standing, and simple to include.
How long does registration take for an SLT?▾
The application itself is comparable to other HCPC professions — typically a few months for a complete file. In practice the English test is what most often sets the overall timeline for this profession, so start there.
