Frequently asked questions

What is a UK ENIC (formerly UK NARIC) Statement of Comparability, and who needs one?

It’s an official statement showing how your non-UK qualification compares to a UK qualification level, issued by ECCTIS, the organisation that runs the UK ENIC service. Some UK employers, regulators and universities ask for one alongside your main registration — for example, HCPC applications sometimes request it.

Is UK NARIC the same as UK ENIC?

Yes — the service was rebranded from “UK NARIC” to “UK ENIC” in 2021, but it’s run by the same organisation, ECCTIS. Many people still search for and refer to it as “NARIC” out of habit, and both names point to the same statement.

How much does a UK ENIC / UK NARIC statement cost from India?

ECCTIS charges its own fee directly, with a faster (more expensive) option available if you need it sooner. We confirm the current fee and turnaround options when we guide you through the application.

How long does processing take?

Standard processing typically takes a few weeks, with a paid fast-track option if you need it sooner. We help you apply correctly the first time to avoid delays from missing documents.

What documents do I need for a UK ENIC / UK NARIC statement?

Typically your passport, degree certificate, academic transcripts, your award or completion letter, and certified translations if your documents aren’t in English. We guide you through getting each into the format ECCTIS accepts.

Can I apply from India without visiting the UK?

Yes — the whole UK ENIC / UK NARIC application is done online, so you can apply and receive your statement without travelling.
